May Movement Challenge!

On May 1, several members of the PCR team and their families began a challenge to start moving!

The goal was to be as active as possible throughout the month of May in order to get healthier and to reinforce our company culture by continuing to set and achieve goals together as a team (even with several members of our staff working from home). We loved seeing families and kids get outside and involved in the challenge too!

We are thrilled to announce that 24 people participated in the PCR May Movement Challenge, logging a total of 351 hours of physical activities.

We are so proud of all of you who set and achieved goals, or who simply made it a point to be more active in May.

In addition to tackling this challenge together, we had a video call each week where we gave away prizes that were purchased to support local businesses. For every 30 minutes of physical activities participants completed, they received one raffle ticket for the weekly drawing.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN CHALLENGE

We hosted the PCR May Movement Challenge through the free fitness platform/app Strava.

It is easy to set up private Strava groups for companies where you can view everyone’s activities and their total movement times for the week. You can support your co-workers by commenting or giving “kudos” on their activities. In addition, you can use the app to make group posts or create specific challenges (like a virtual race).

MOVING FORWARD

With summer right around the corner, we plan to continue our movement challenge to see what we can accomplish over the months ahead. There are many excellent parks and trails in Northeast Ohio and now is a great time to take advantage of them.
